Our students can choose from over 250 partners when deciding where to get their practical experience or where to upgrade their degrees by going abroad to study.
Every year more than 150 foreign students choose KATHO as the destination for their exchange programme.
A great many KATHO lecturers are guest professors in one of our partner schools in Europe and beyond. During our International Staff Weeks KATHO students can learn from the expertise and knowledge of visiting professors. Every KATHO students is given the opportunity to study in the Walloon region on the ERABel scheme or to set sail for a European destination via the “Lifelong Learning Programme”.
Development aid projects and study trips are but a few more possibilities for our students to broaden their horizons. The international office at KATHO stimulates an international experience both for students and lecturers. That is its core business!

Waar zit die internationale sfeer?
Mondialisering is een bewuste keuze van KATHO omdat de kans groot is dat de afgestudeerde bachelor in internationaal teamverband zal werken of zelfs voor een professionele loopbaan in het buitenland kiest. Bij meer dan 250 partnerinstellingen kunnen KATHO studenten stagelopen en/of studeren. Wij ontvangen elk jaar meer dan 150 buitenlandse studenten. Heel wat KATHO lectoren zijn voor een korte periode gastdocent in het buitenland. Op onze "Internationale Weken" zijn steeds buitenlandse docenten aanwezig. De student kan via ERABel naar Wallonië of met het “Lifelong Learning Programme” naar een Europese bestemming. Ook projecten rond ontwikkelingssamenwerking en groepsstudiereizen behoren tot de mogelijkheden. De internationale dienst van KATHO stimuleert een internationale ervaring zowel voor student als lector. Dat is haar opdracht. Enjoy learning worldwide!
